FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the bookstore carry more than textbooks?
Yes! We sell UW Oshkosh clothing and giftware, school and art supplies, bestsellers and other general interest books, study aids, CDs and DVDs, computer supplies, greeting cards and other gifts. University Books & More is your only source for official UW Oshkosh clothing and gifts.
Where are the textbooks located?
Please feel free to visit the textbook department, located in the lower level of the bookstore. All textbooks for 14-week classes are shelved there. For your convenience, Interim and Summer School textbooks are stocked in the alcove surrounding the staircase on the main level, at the back of the store.
Can I always get used textbooks?
We stock as many used textbooks as we can, whether through buyback or textbook wholesalers. However, used books are not always available. If we cannot obtain enough books from buyback or make up the difference with books purchased from used book companies, we must order new books from the publisher. Also, publishers occasionally release new editions of textbooks we've been using. If the professor decides to use this newest edition of a title, we must order them from the publisher.
How does the textbook reservation program work?
Textbooks can be reserved or ordered online by clicking HERE.
We fill reservations in the order that we receive them--in general, the earlier you order, the better your chances are to recieve used books. For more information on ordering textbooks online, click HERE.
Can I pay for my textbooks with my financial aid?
Sure. Though the bookstore does not have access to students' financial aid accounts, financial aid money not used for tuition is yours to spend as you wish. Head to the Cashiers' Office in Dempsey to pick up your financial aid check. Deposit it in your checking or TitanCard account and spend it on textbooks.
What if my financial aid is late?
By law, some forms of financial aid must be distributed after classes start, so the university has made arrangements for students to get an advance for textbooks. All students receiving financial aid will receive a form with their account mailing. This form allows you to designate a certain amount of your financial aid money for textbooks. The amount you designate will be put on your TitanCard for the purpose of buying textbooks.
How can I return a textbook?
If you find you've bought the wrong textbook, your professor cancels a book, or you drop a class, please bring the textbook(s) and your cash register receipt to our Customer Service desk for a refund. You will get University Books & More's refund policy with every textbook purchase you make. Be sure to read it carefully, and pay attention to the refund deadline dates at the bottom. Once these deadline dates have passed, textbooks are no longer returnable. However, you can sell them at the end of the semester at our textbook buyback.

How does buyback work?
At the end of each semester or term, including Interim and Summer School, you'll have the chance to sell textbooks back to the bookstore for cash. Our buyback windows are located within view of the Algoma Blvd. entrance to Reeve Memorial Union. Present your textbooks at any of these windows for cash.
Do you need to have work study to be employed at the bookstore?
We can hire any university student who is taking six credits or more per semester. Please ask for an application at our Customer Service desk. You may also inquire about employment by calling: (920) 424-0277.
Does the bookstore ever have sales?
Yes, we have weekly sales during the school year. Check UW Oshkosh's student newspaper, The Advance Titan, for our sales and promotions, or visit our store. Sorry - due to the nature of the product, we cannot include textbooks in any of our sales or promotions.
Do you have a question we haven't answered?
